Mark's obituary

Mark Douglas Wright, 75, of Pelham, Alabama died on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, while surrounded by his loving family after a brief battle with cancer.

Mark was born on Friday, 13th of January, 1950, in Montgomery, Alabama, to Rocky and Justine Wright. Mark attended Morningview Elementary, Capital Heights Jr. High and Robert E. Lee High school, graduating in 1969. He then attended Troy State University, graduating in 1973 , with a degree in Graphic Arts and Advertising.

Upon graduation, Mark took a job which he loved at Bass Masters in advertising. He then formed The Graphics Factory, LLC where he worked with numerous SEC schools and various companies in need of advertising and marketing. He and his wife, Cathy, then formed Halcyon Designs where he worked until retirement.

Mark was an avid Alabama fan and had the privilege of working with several coaches and athletic directors at the University of Alabama in their advertising and marketing. He also enjoyed playing and coaching softball. Growing up Mark enjoyed fishing with his brothers and friends and playing golf. He loved spending time with his family and sharing memories of his childhood.

Mark is survived by his wife Susan, brother Dennis (Nancy), his children Leslie (Stephen) Sibilia, Rachel (Ryan) Latham, Amy (Christopher) Pribyl, and Matthew Wright (Karolina), and step-children Brian Richardson (Ann), Andrea Hood (Brian), and Stevie Richardson (Jessica) as well as many beloved grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Mark was proceeded in death by his wife Cathy Wright, parents, Rocky and Justine Wright, and brother Ross Wright.

There will be a private family ceremony for his interment at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. The family will host a Celebration of Life at a later date for all family and friends to attend. Details will be shared at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Saint Jude Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society, two organizations he was passionate about, in his honor.
