The news of Mark Dodge’s passing was a heavy blow. Mark was more than a leader to those of us who had the privilege to work with him...he was a good man who led with humility, kindness, and wisdom. He never wanted to be called “boss,” only BMark, and that perfectly reflected the way he treated everyone as equals and as friends.
I don’t know what kind of father he was outside of X-FAB, but I do know the kind of family man he was to us inside those walls. He was reliable, dependable, and trustworthy. Mark carried a “How can I help?” attitude that spread naturally to his team, and he made sure we reflected that same spirit. He never said he worked at X-FAB..he proudly said he was a part of X-FAB. He was proud of his work, proud of his people, and he had so much to be proud of.
Beyond the fab, it was clear how much Mark loved his family. He spoke with pride and warmth about his wife and kids, and his eyes would light up whenever he shared stories about his dogs. That love and joy carried into the way he treated everyone around him... with care, patience, and loyalty.
Mark had a gift for uplifting his team even during the most stressful times. His stories, laughter, and steady encouragement always reminded us that we were capable—even when we doubted ourselves. He selflessly poured into others, sharing not only his deep knowledge of the fab and steppers, but also life lessons that shaped us far beyond our work.
His legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched with his generosity, wisdom, and unwavering support. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time, and that Mark will be remembered with the greatest respect, gratitude, and love.
