1973 Youth Ranch I remember working with Mark at the Day Care that had just started and how much fun and how life was so different than in what we did and how we did it. We would ride kids in the back of pickups, on skate boards without pads or hemets, and bycycles the same way. We had so much fun at the camps for the kids and all the wonderful caring that Mark did for each and every individual that he came in contact with. Mark had such a super sense of humor and would light up any person or crowd he ever came in contact with....Mark may be gone, but never forgotten.
Mark was my Principal, 1980. I woke up this morning and thought of him and here I am.

Remembering Mark today at the service was very meaningful for me. I was reminded of God’s love and mercy. I felt The Lord’s presence as people gave testimony on how Mark made a difference in their lives.Ā

I was very moved by the music ā€œI Can Only Imagineā€ and especially ā€œIt is Well With My Soulā€Ā

Thank you Adele, Ā for your reflections on cherished moments with Mark. Thanks also to Ariana and Joe. Your words and remembrances truly captured your dad’s legacy.Ā

I am so sorry to hear about Mark. Ā He was one of the most kind, amazing and impactful teachers my son ever encountered. Ā What a positive and courageous man. Ā Peace to him and his family.

As with many memories we at our age have, it seems like only yesterday that Mark and I (and others) were in our twenties, playing and having so much fun and so many laughs. Breakfast with him at Smalley’s (almost daily for a while) was a highlight of my day.

Mark was a Godly model and encourager, who I feebly tried to model. His love for kids inspired me and I learned from his outstanding skill in relating to them as he poured his heart into reaching and teaching them.

By far, the most important thing Mark and I had in common---back then and still to this day---was our confidence in the Lord Jesus Christ’s promise (see John 6:47) to guarantee everlasting life---as an absolutely free gift, that could never be lost---to anyone who would simply believe Him for that life. We shared a desire to tell others about that wonderful promise.

I think of Mark fondly as he was my first principal while teaching. He was such an encouragement to me at one point during a rough time.Ā

So well loved. He served for many, many years in the Church and schools. Mark was my first principal! Godly man and Adele is Godly too. Both great teachers.
Standing his glory we will sing to the lambĀ
