Mark's obituary
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Mr. Mark Ward, born in 1951 and culminated his life journey on April 28, 2025. Mark lived an inspiring and fulfilling life, full of love, laughter, and the simple pleasures.
A dedicated father first and foremost, he treasured his son Jacob Ward, and embraced every moment with him. He especially loved his role as a Grandfather to his adorable Granddaughter, Elia Ward, whose birth in 2022 brought him much joy and happiness. His son's wife, Brittney Ward, was also a loved and valued member of his family who he acknowledged and cherished as a Daughter-in-law.
Mark was predeceased by his beloved wife, Libby Ward, whom he married in the year of 1977. He was also predeceased by his father, Dave Ward, and his mother, Betty Ward. Their memory and teachings greatly influenced his life and how he raised his own family.
Surviving Mark, along with his immediate family, are his loving sisters, Debbie Newton, and Janeene Nagaoka. The bond and love for his siblings remained strong throughout his life, as he was always there for them in times of need and celebration.
Mark had an insatiable sweet tooth and could always be found sneaking a cookie or indulging in a piece of cake when he thought no one was watching. His love for life was contagious and expressed in the simplest of ways, such as preparing his favorite desserts for family gatherings.
When he wasn't spoiling his family with sweets, Mark could be found up in the mountains skiing or on the court playing a game of Pickleball. He found great joy in these activities but most importantly, he loved spending quality time with his family, creating memories that will forever be cherished.
Mark will be remembered as a loving father, doting grandfather, loyal brother, and a friend to many. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of everyone he interacted with, as well as those he has touched but never met.
