Mark's obituary

Mark Gabriel Charvet, 66, of San Pablo, CA passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 9th, 2019 at his home of 31 years surrounded by loving family.
Mark Charvet was born on June 18 th, 1953 in San Francisco, CA. He attended St. Joseph's Academy in Sprague WA, St. Agnes School in San Francisco, and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in San Francisco. He graduated from San Francisco Community College with his Associates in Dental Tech. He was self employed for most of his life which also included being a partner of Charvet Building Services along with two of his brothers in the 90’s and early 2000’s and later the owner of Mark Charvet of All Trades until 2019. Mark had many passions in life and was a true outdoorsmen. He was an avid fisherman of the local reservoirs (San Pablo & Lafayette) and imparted his love of fishing to many generations. He was always willing to take someone fishing if they expressed even the slighted interest.
Mark was blessed with many artistic talents including painting, singing, and creative story-telling. He had an endless supply of jokes and stories that he shared with all, making friends everywhere he went. He will be best remembered for his quick wit, sense of humor, caring disposition, infectious smile, and contagious laugh.
Mark was very dedicated to his family and was a devoted father & grandfather to his children, Nicole and Amanda & his grandchildren. Everyone loved "Uncle Mark", as many called him, as he was very generous with his time and would help out almost anyone in a bind. Mark was also a man of faith and was an active servant of his church, Bay Hills Community Church, Richmond, CA. and contributed to many charities.
In death, Mark joins his father, John Sr., his mother, Doris, his brother, John Jr. and sister-in-law, Mary. He is survived by his two daughters and son-in-laws, Nicole Charvet & Nigel Bond of Portland, Oregon, Amanda Charvet and David Pillion of San Pablo, CA, two granddaughters, Evelyn Bond & Elizabeth Charvet of Portland, Oregon, three siblings and two sister-in-laws, Dore Jackson of Lancaster, CA, Darlene Charvet of El Cerrito, CA, Lee James Edward & Betty Charvet of San Antonio, Texas, and Philip Charvet of Mountain Ranch, CA. He will be missed by numerous family members and friends
