Mark Etienne Chartrand, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 11, 2021 after a short battle with cancer at Sunny View Care Center in Ankeny, Iowa.

Mark was born to Laurence and Hazel Chartrand on September 22, 1945 in Herlong, California. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served his country proudly.

Later in life, he met the love of his life in Connie Christensen, whom he married and spent the last 30 years of his life with. Mark enjoyed spending time with his friends, making people laugh, and loved to play Wii bowling.

Mark is preceded in death by his mother and father, Laurence and Hazel, brothers Cam and Ron, and sister Sherry. He is survived by his wife, Connie, and step-children Shawn, Rob, Ed, Mike, and Chris Croushore.

A private service will be held at the Iowa Veteran’s Cemetery.

Mark was loved by many, and the family would like to thank all of the caring people that helped assist Mark. He will be missed by everyone.
