Mark Anthony Cantieri passed away on August 13, 2023 in Spring Hill, Florida.  His passing was unexpected and shocking to the family. 

Tony had a zest for life and recently moved to Florida in search of a better life. He found great joy in his home in Florida and cherished spending time with friends and family. His greatest source of happiness was his son, John.  Tony enjoyed boating, fishing, interacting with wildlife, and visiting amusement parks.  These hobbies allowed him to embrace his adventurous spirit and create lasting memories with loved ones.

In his professional life, tony found particular fulfillment in carpentry and remodeling work.  He was working on new endeavors that he hoped would bring him both joy and rewards.

A member of the Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus, Tony found solace and guidance in his faith. He was an active participant in his religious community.

Tony was preceded in death by his brother John, and parents John and Constance Cantieri. He is survived by his beloved son, John Cantieri, as well as his siblings: Dante (Lisa) Cantieri, Marianne Cantieri and Tracy (James) Dubovos, nieces and nephew: Catherine, Ariel, Vincent, Emma and Isabel.

Mark Anthony "Tony" Cantieri will be laid in his final resting place on December 2 next to his dear brother John.  An prayer service and interment will begin at 10:30 at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL. 

Those who would like celebrate his life, there will be a gathering at Player’s Pub and Grill in Prospect Heights, IL on December 2 from 11:15am – 2:00pm following the interment. Join us anytime during these hours to share your memories and favorite stories with his family and friends. It will be a great healing time for his son to hear all the great stories of his vibrant and joyful life.
