Marjorie and I were first cousins and very close for a long time.  She arrived in L.A. a naive young girl just out of high school.  She had an engaging personality, full of enthusiasm and a strong Tennessee accent.  Margie had spent her teen years taking care of her mother and shouldering a lot of responsibility while her father was away.  She was ready for new adventures when she arrived in Calif.  She started Jr. College where she met a boy and fell in love.  But, it was not to be.  She became a flight attendant where she was chosen for an ad for Tareyton cigarettes.  She was very pretty and very outgoing.  She met Robert and they married and bought a home near mine in Pacific palisades.  We had children the same age and were very close for a number of years,  Then we both divorced and went our separate ways.  We managed to maintain contact for a number of years, but finally Margie seemed to become more reclusive and hard to reach.  We managed an early breakfast together about once a year and then that too reached and end.  Margie worried about her health a lot but didn't feel comfortable sharing the details and then we lost touch.  I am sad to lose her altogether,  I had hoped for more.....  Kathy Sandel
