Marisol was born April 30, 1976 in Mexico state, Mexico. Her father Felipe Peralta Sanchez passed away in 2013 and she is survived by her mother Perla Hernandez Gonzalez and her 3 sisters, Masiel, Mayleth, & Kenya. They were all raised as Jehovah’s Witnesses. Marisol grew to love Jehovah very much and she made the truth her own when she got baptized on February 17, 1990 at the age of 13. Shortly thereafter she was able to serve as a regular pioneer from 1994 until 2005. During this time she was able to leave her home and support 2 pioneer routes in different states of Mexico, Guerrero & Puebla. Where she would go for months at a time to preach where the need was greater often times at the loss of much personal comfort. On one assignment she had to shower with buckets of very cold water being poured over her head and on another they had no electricity. But she endured and enjoyed much success in the preaching work as she loved people very much. Marisol married Ronald Jack Trella on May 27, 2001 a brother who was visiting Mexico to learn Spanish in order to help the Spanish speaking population in the United States learn the bible. She used to joke that instead of just learning Spanish he married the Spanish teacher. Together they went on many adventures. They first served a congregation for 1 year in the outskirts of Mexico city named Bosques Del Pedregal where they fell in love with the humble, beautiful brothers and sisters there. Next they served in Juarez, Mexico for 3 years, which had a desert climate. Then for a complete change they moved to the far south of Mexico to Playa Del Carmen, which was on the Caribbean Ocean. Marisol decided it was time she learned English so they switched to the English congregation there, where they spent 3 more years helping English speaking people learn the bible. Marisol often spoke about how much she loved being there, especially during the brutal Chicago winters. In 2008 they moved to Chicago in the United States and together they served in the Crestwood, English Congregation. One day when Marisol was out preaching she came across a house with a couple of people who used to serve Jehovah, and if you knew Marisol she did not give up easy, she kept going back, showing love and support and with the help of Jehovah one person from that house, became reactivated as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and after retiring has even began to regular pioneer no doubt in part because of Marisol’s tireless example. Marisol has never stopped trying to help the other person in that same house to come back to Jehovah and hopes that one day she will, so she can be there to welcome her back in the paradise earth soon to come. Three years later a beautiful surprise took place, their son Jakim Matthew Trella was born on March 21, 2011. Jakim was truly the love of her life. They enjoyed a very special bond together and she made him feel special every single day. In an attempt to teach him Spanish they moved to the Spanish congregation that met in the same kingdom hall in Crestwood. They spent a few years there getting to know all the friends. Everywhere Marisol went she made lifelong friends. This was just one of her many endearing qualities. As Jakim grew up, the Spanish language was not sticking with him too well, so they made the decision to switch back to the English congregation so their son could progress spiritually and that is what he did. Soon thereafter in 2019 he gave his first talk at the kingdom hall in front of more than a hundred people as Marisol nervously looked on hoping he wouldn’t say something crazy or do something too radical with the microphone. She never felt more proud to see how her baby boy was growing up to love Jehovah. As her health began to decline, her love for Jehovah never did. She was able to auxiliary pioneer in April 2020 and this truly brought her joy. And sadly the following month on May 31, 2020 she passed away a loyal servant of Jehovah. Marisol believed that the words spoken at John 11:25 were being spoken to her personally where it says: Jesus said to her: “I am the resurrection and the life, The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life”.
