Marion's obituary

Marion McLeod was born to her beloved, predeceased parents, her mother, Louvenia Maxine Walker and supportive step-father, Henry Walker . Marion is predeceased by her brothers James Wright and Jonathan Wright. Marion departed this life on December 26, 2020. Raised in Monroe Township having attended Jamesburg High School. Shortly after graduation, Marion pursued her personable skills and combined her niche for hair styling and cutting. She successfully completed training and attended cosmetology courses to obtain her license to provide services to a host of men and women in the Jersey Shore area since the 1980's. Having miraculously survived breast cancer in the 1990's, Marion had more to contribute to the world through her easy-going, humorous spirit and kindness. She touched many lives and helped many people throughout the community of Neptune and Asbury Park NJ. During her marriage to her predeceased husband, Yank McLeod Sr., Marion had five sons, Yank McLeod Jr., Drew McLeod, Dwayne McLeod, Raymond McLeod and Randolph McLeod. Her sons who went on to bring the joy of grandchildren who reside throughout NJ region. She now has many great grandchildren, great nieces and nephews who share the memories of her fondness and love. Marion also selflessly contributed to caring for her grandchildren, even great nieces and nephews while full time working on styling and cutting hair, until it was too difficult to physically carry through with the tasks in early 2010. She transitioned to rest in paradise peacefully in her sleep at Manor by the Sea in Ocean Grove, NJ. A beloved mother, sister, aunt, daughter and friend and so much more, Marion is survived by three brothers, Louis Omar Wright of Toms River, Issac Wright of Laurence Harbor, NJ and Barry Walker of Toms River, NJ. Marion is also survived by three sisters, Betty Jackson of Rochester, NY, Sarah Ensley of Lakewood NJ and Beverly Wright of Willingboro, NJ.
Marion is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, close friends and loved ones.
