My Aunt Marion would allow me to get my hair done when I was 5 years old. She welcomed me in her salon chair any time I came inside her shop on Main Street in Asbury Park. My Aunt made me feel very special and important the entire experience and always made my mom feel that it was her honor to do her niece's hair. I felt self confidence and gained strength as a woman while watching my Aunt do what she loved in her community. She inspired me, thank you, Rest in Paradise, Aunt Marion(-:
