With sadness, love, and profound gratitude, the family of Marion E. Martin announces her passing on December 12, 2020, at the age of 68, at Montclair Care Center, in Montclair, NJ.

Born February 15, 1952, to James M. and Rosa L. (Kelly) Martin, Jr. of Hamelt, NC.

Marion grew up in Elizabeth, NJ, and Hamlet, NC. She enjoyed spending time with family, reading, sci-fi, board games, and sporting events. Educated in the Elizabeth Public School system, she graduated from Battin High School, in 1970, after which she attended computer school to study computer programming.

Marion worked in a small boutique, in Elizabeth, NJ, and later, for Burlington Coat Factory, in the Jersey Gardens Mall.

She was a dedicated caretaker for both parents and 7 of her nieces and nephews. She derived great joy and pride in assisting her sisters with nurturing, caring for, and spending time with her nieces and nephews.
In addition to sisters, Evelyn (Martin) Green and Tina (Anthony) Martin, Marion is survived by 10 nieces and nephews, 12 great nieces and nephews, 1 great-great nephew, her uncle Joseph (Alice) Kelly, Jr., many cousins, and family friends.

In addition to both parents, she was also preceded in death by, her brother, Rahjun A. Muhammad, great nephew, DaQuan Steadman, and brother (in-law), Charles L. "Chuck" Green, Jr.
