Marilyn's obituary

Marilyn Ann Yanke, 78, passed away on June 23, 2025, in Boise, Idaho.

Born on April 24, 1947. Marilyn lived a life filled with creativity, faith, and connection. A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she found joy in her community and church activities.

Marilyn was known for her friendly and outgoing nature, her kind heart, and her love of sharing stories about her family and personal history.

Her passion for crafts was evident in the beautiful items she created through knitting, sewing, and crocheting. She often showcased her work at the Idaho State Fair when she was able. Marilyn also cherished time spent with loved ones at family gatherings and enjoyed taking road trips to Garden Valley.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her mother Anna Louise Yanke, Father Ralph Herbert Yanke, and brothers David Ralph Yanke, and William “Bill” Yanke.

She is survived by her nephew Christopher Brandon Yanke; niece Anna Theresa Yanke; nephew Austin David Yanke and his wife Asheley Apter Yanke; as well as many dear friends who will miss her warmth and laughter.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
