A celebration of life for Marilyn will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Heartsong Church to honor and remember her beautiful spirit.
Marilyn's personality was best described as humble, loving, witty, funny, transparent, passionate, courageous, strong, and opinionated. She was a servant, and it was obvious in every aspect of her life. She found joy in simple things, swinging or rocking on the porch playing the her grands and great grands with bubbles or feeding the ducks. She was enamored by the artist that God is continually...from the awesomeness of a picture perfect sunset from her window or the beauty of the changing of the leaves in the fall, to the crashing of waves in the ocean or the peace and stillness of a fresh snow. She'd say "God is just amazing". She had a thing for her bath and body works...body care and CANDLES. She loved music...and her tastes encompassed so many genres. CAN I TELL YOU...she would just about opt to take a stroll through Kroger or Target as opposed to a cruise or luxury vacation any day!! She loved her small group, and Her small group. She would eat ice cream almost anytime and when it came coupled with white chocolate in one bar...HEAVEN.
She was a firm believer in caring for others and helping whenever and wherever possible. Marilyn imparted many valuable lessons to those around her, including finding joy in simplicity, being the change one wants to see, and owning one's actions and decisions.
Marilyn leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, strength, courage, kindness, caring, creativity, and an abiding faith in God. She will live on in our hearts and memories, and her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her.
