Marilyn's obituary

Marilyn Marguerite (Meredith) Vaughn entered her heavenly home February 27, 2025,in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 89. She was born on April 4, 1935, in Paonia, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents Roscoe and Ray Meredith and sister Betty Meredith Case (Richard) in Cortez, CO. Marilyn leaves behind three sons, Byron Vaughn (Emily) in Alstead, NH, Gregory Vaughn (Dara) in Allen, TX, Duane Vaughn (Helena) in Virginia Beach, VA, and one daughter Stephanie Liane (Sven) in San Antonio, TX. She has 18 Grandchildren and 22 Great Grandchildren, two brothers, D. Ross Meredith (Marlyn) of Salem, OR, and Robert Meredith (Sandra) of Littleton, CO, one sister, Paula Haynes of Lewisville, TX. She was an avid fan and a highly competitive word search puzzle expert and was considered a foodie by her beloved family and in her assisted living community. She is fondly remembered as being fiercely independent and was known for her comical spirit. The family would like to thank the staff at Sodalis Stone Oak and Bristol Hospice for their compassionate care for Marilyn’s stay in their facility.

A Celebration of Life (and heavenly birthday) for Marilyn will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, 9:30 am at Olinger Crown Hill (Serenity Point Chapel) at 7777 W. 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO.  A private family graveside gathering will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Paonia, CO.
