Family and friends, it is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of a very special person. We apologize for posting the news this way, but we wanted to make sure everyone hears if from our family. As many know Marilyn has been dealing with increasingly chronic pain for over five years and this past year fighting through the final stages of lung cancer. With all the heartache during this difficult time we are relieved that she is no longer in pain and now it is time to reminesce about the impact she has had on so many.

First and foremost Marilyn was a dedicated mother and partner. She treasured her family and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role of grandma, but to all of us she was . . .NANA! Despite her immense amount of pain throughout her fight she always put her family first and found a way to ensure they were taken care of.

Marilyn’s wishes were clear she did not want services of any kind, but instead her memory and love she had for her family and friends especially her grandson live on. Please do not feel it is necessary to give, as we do not need. But if you insist, In lieu of flowers, donations can be made out to a scholarship fund in her name for her grandson Jaxson.
