Marilyn's obituary

Marilyn Hintz Heye passed away peacefully on June 20th 2019, at the young age of 66, in Lakeland, FL after a long illness.

Marilyn was born to Walter and Myrtle Hintz on November 3rd, 1952 in Waterbury, CT. She grew up in Prospect, CT where she enjoyed playing the fife in the town’s Fife and Drum Corp. She attended Wilby High School and went on to study nursing at Russell Sage College, graduating in 1974. She then dedicated her career to caring for patients as an exceptional registered nurse with the Middlesex VNA (Visiting Nurses’ Association) for over 25 years.

Marilyn happily married Thory Heye on 5/20/1978. They had 2 children, Ashley and Heather. Marilyn and Thory lived in Clinton, CT until Thory passed away in 2017. She then moved to Lakeland, Florida to be near her two daughters.

In addition to being a devoted and loving mother, Marilyn was an avid reader, she loved to garden, and enjoyed vacationing on Cape Cod. She was an incredibly intelligent, sweet, kind, caring, creative, thoughtful, loving, and generous person. She is gone but not forgotten, as she will live on in our hearts forever.

Marilyn joins her parents, her husband, and her sister Karen Carroll, in Heaven. She is survived by her two brothers - Walter Hintz and Arthur Hintz, her daughters - Ashley Watson and Heather Heye, her grandson - Hunter Watson, and several nieces and nephews.
