Marilyn Elizabeth Daughtry was born on June 17, 1956 to Paul and Dorothy Daughtry in Statesboro, GA. She was affectionately adopted into a loving family by Annie Grace Lovett and blessed to receive motherly love from Linda “Mama Linda” Daughtry.

She accepted Christ and attended Statesboro Deliverance Evangelist Church  (SDEC) until she relocated to Augusta, GA.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her father; her siblings, Beverly Conner, Christopher Daughtry, Donald Daughtry, Steven Daughtry, Paul Daughtry, Randy Daughtry, and Rodney Daughtry.

On Monday, November 15, 2021 in her 65th season of life, Marilyn passed into eternal rest at Augusta Medical University Hospital. She was a selfless, loving, and caring mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, niece, and friend. Marilyn was a strong woman that endured many hardships, but always managed to fight through.

Marilyn was loved by many and will be truly missed. 

She leaves to cherish her memories, her biological mother, Dorothy Daughtry of Boston, Ma;  adopted mother, Annie Grace Lovett of Register, GA; her stepmother, Linda Daughtry of Douglasville, GA; six daughters, Sonya (Marcus) Roland of Hephzibah, GA, Jenel McBride of Statesboro, GA, Dorothea McBride (Shawn Rich), Nicolette McBride both of Augusta, GA, Ronnekia Daughtry (Quesonne Hurley) of Statesboro, GA, Jasmine (Deyonta) Daughtry-Young of St. Petersburg, Fl; a loving niece/daughter, LaKesha Patterson of Boston, MA; nineteen grandchildren, Milan Roland, Mayna Roland, Marcus Roland Jr. all of Hephzibah, GA, Damon Hilton (Dreeka), Ja'Darius McBride, Jaxon McBride all of Statesboro, GA, Jaylin McBride, Ashanti Rich, Ja’Kayla Rich all of Augusta, GA, Taylor Brown of Columbia, SC, Ty’Keyonna McBride (Brandon Byrant), Tamari McBride (Ro), Talacia McBride, Trinity McBride, Tristan McBride all of Augusta, GA, Keaton Thomas  of Statesboro, GA, Emmanuel Young, Elijah Young and Elise Young all of St. Petersburg, Fl; two great grandchildren,  Ava Hilton of Statesboro, GA and Nova McBride  of Augusta, GA; four step children, Pamela Elliott of Stone Mountain, GA , Marcee Crumbley of Montrose, GA , John (Jackey) Lewis Jr. of East Dublin, GA and Lanoris  (Sabrina) Lewis of Bronx, NY; a goddaughter, Tytianna Artis of Metter, GA; eight  siblings, Shannon Lovett of Statesboro,GA , Alton (Debra) Lovett of Register, GA, Billy Daughtry, Jacqueline Daughtry both of Boston, MA, Sirberina (Cottrell)  Jiles of Palm Bay, FL, Yvonne Wilkerson of Register, GA, Paula Houston of Winston, GA, and Shauna Daughtry of Rockmart, GA;  a  host of other relatives and friends.

A Public Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 21, 2021 from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at the Stevens  Creek Church (South Augusta Campus), 3358 Peach Orchard Rd. Augusta, GA 30906.

Due to COVID-19, Social Distancing will be enforced and MASKS/FACE COVERINGS are REQUIRED for all guest attending Public Visitation.
