Marilyn's obituary
Marilyn Bauman, age 81, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2025, with her daughters by her side.
Born August 1, 1943, in Philadelphia PA, Marilyn lived a life marked by adventures, devotion, and love for everyone around her. She married her husband Michael in 1970 and traveled coast-to-coast before settling in Louisville, KY in 1977. It was there where they built a successful business, raised a family, and traveled with family and friends. In retirement, Marilyn settled in Silverdale, Washington.
Her favorite title was “Mima” as she was lovingly referred to by her grandchildren, whom she proudly took the role of being their number one fan. She was a devoted wife of 45 years, the greatest mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She had a lasting positive impact on our lives, and we will cherish her memory for eternity.
She is survived by her daughters Jenise (Erin), Leeann (Tim), grandchildren Connor and Maya, her sister Anne Marie, several nieces and nephews, and her beloved miniature schnauzer Angel. She was preceded in death by her husband Michael, her parents Charles and Margaret, and her sister Barbara.
A service to honor Marilyn’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on May 9, 2025, at Cave Hill Cemetery and Arboretum, 701 Baxter Ave, in Louisville, Kentucky.
