Though Marie never bore children of her own, she embraced the role of motherhood with unparalleled dedication. She nurtured and cared for her sisters, cousins, nephews, and nieces as if they were her own flesh and blood. When her sister relocated to Haiti, Marie selflessly took on the responsibility of raising her two beloved nephews, embodying the essence of family and sacrifice.
In her professional life, Marie excelled in the food catering business,sharing her culinary talents with the world. Her delicious creations not only satisfied appetites but also warmed hearts with their homemade touch. Despite facing her own battles with illness, she approached life with courage and grace, never once allowing her pain to dampen her spirits. Her resilience was a beacon of strength to all who knew her. A devout member of her community, Marie found solace and purpose in participating in church functions. Her generosity knew no bounds, as she tirelessly donated food, bouillon, tea, and chocolate to various gatherings, ensuring that no one went hungry in her presence. From wakes to funerals, conferences to church celebrations, Marie's contributions were a testament to her boundless compassion and generosity of spirit.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Benissé Dor, and Marie Louise Pascal. She is survived by her sisters, Benita Dor, Alicia Dor, and Annette Dor, Aldai and Jack Rossiny who will forever cherish her memory and theprofound impact she had on their lives.Marie Dor's departure leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her. Yet, her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched with her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love. May she rest in eternal peace, her memory a source of comfort and inspiration to us all.
