Den's obituary
In Loving Memory of Denise
With heavy hearts but deep gratitude for her love, we announce the passing of Denise. Born on May 30, 1945, in Haiti and called home on July 27, 2025, Denise’s life was a true testament to strength, faith, and unwavering devotion to family.
Raised in Haiti among loved ones, Denise began a new chapter in the United States in August 1999. Starting with her beloved sister Vana in Florida, she journeyed to New York to be reunited with her children. Wherever she went, Denise brought warmth and care, always putting her family at the center of her life.
A devoted wife, cherished mother, proud grandmother, dear daughter, beloved aunt, and loyal friend—Denise’s love extended to all, but especially to her four children whom she loved equally and wholeheartedly. Her joy was found in gathering her family, sharing lovingly prepared meals, and making sure everyone went home with something to eat.
Denise’s faith guided her steps. She was a devoted Catholic and active in church, finding strength, comfort, and community in her beliefs. She loved to shop for her children and grandchildren, always thinking of others before herself.
For nearly three years, Denise bravely battled pancreatic cancer, enduring suffering with remarkable courage and resilience. Her fight was full of grace, and her strength inspired all who knew her. To us, she remains the bravest and strongest person we will ever know. We are endlessly grateful to call her our mother.
Our hearts overflow with memories and gratitude for Denise’s life. We have so many stories to share—too many for one invitation. As we come together to remember and celebrate her, we invite you to join us in honoring her beautiful legacy.
We love you, Mom. You are forever in our hearts.
