Marie's obituary
Marie is survived by her oldest son, Michael Ayers of Wheelersburg, Ohio, a brother Larry Cox and sister Sherry Jones both of Manchester, Ohio and sister Teresa Purtee (Dallas) of Wheelersburg, Ohio. She was blessed with four grandchildren and one great grandson who survive her as well. Leevi Francis, Zoe & Zach Ayers, Caleb Tucker and great grandson Weston Francis, all of whom she cherished.
She was retired from Adams/Brown Head Start where she worked for roughly forty years. Marie attended church regularly and served the Lord with great conviction and enthusiasm. She was faithful and finished well. Marie will be deeply missed by those who were so accustomed to seeing her face and hearing her voice daily. We, however, do not grieve as those who have no hope (1 Thessalonians 4:13) for we know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8).
Her memorial service was held on January 1, 2022.
