Marianne Hess, born on September 13, 1938 in Oklahoma to Hooper and Opal Mankin and passed away on March 12, 2022 at home with her family in Vacaville, CA after an extended illness. She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Hess, her grandchildren Marianne Coduti and her husband Shane, Kylie Hess, and Jacob Hess, as well as her only great-grandchild, Maximus, and sister Uleda Grilho. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ronald, and her dear son, Randal, as well as her parents Hooper and Opal Mankin and sisters June Lewis and Delilah (Dilly) Grange.

Marianne grew up going to school in Oakland, CA where she met the love of her life, Ronnie at age 15. Her selfless devotion to her family is what she will be most be remembered for. She will also so fondly be remembered for pushing food on anyone and everyone, whether they were hungry or not, for her silly sing-song entrances to a room, saving anything that may be "worth something someday" and her hatred of the hot temperatures that Summers in Vacaville bring, among so many others. There are no events planned, as she did not wish to have services and she had a private burial. You may make a donation to St. Jude's Children's Hospital as an alternative to flowers.
