Marian's obituary
We regretfully announce the peaceful passing of Marian Henry on December 23, 2025. Born October 28, 1936, Marian lived an inspiring life filled with boundless love and profound achievements. Her legacy will be one of family, generosity, and relentless support for others.
Marian was a paragon of warmth, politeness, love, and professionalism. She enlightened those around her through her actions and words, always embodying the ideals of honesty and integrity. Her teachings about the importance of love for one another will stand as a lasting tribute to her compassionate spirit.
In the professional sphere, Marian shattered glass ceilings as the first Black female insurance broker in Philadelphia. Her success paved the way for many and stands testament to her unyielding determination and hard work.
Perhaps her most significant attribute, Marian was a strong, devoted woman who loved, supported, and sacrificed for her family unconditionally. She is survived by her loving grandchildren, Chanel Cuffey and Rodney Ace Alston, among other family and friends who will miss her dearly.
