Marian Claudette Brown, “Chippy”, 83, of St. Charles, MO. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Barnes Hospital, St. Peters, MO. She was born on February 25, 1937. The daughter of the late Rueben Reid and Theoderic Abbington. Dear sister of Leroy (Carla), JoAnn, Rueben, Bobby and Eileen Abbington. Loving mother to Mark Elston Sr. (Bev), Gretchen Brown-Hazel, (Scott) and Ivan Brown (Stacey). Beloved grandmother and step grandmother to Mark Elston Jr. (Malia), Chad Elston, Hannah Brown (Justin), Concetta “CC” Brown, Austin and Devin Finnern . Forever loving great grandmother of Zada, Chad and Kalani Elston.

She was a wife, aunt, great aunt, sister in law, cousin and friend. She had a great love for all that were in her life. She was a church member of Southern Mission Baptist Church in St. Peters, MO. She loved her church family. Her strong faith and beliefs in God allowed her to mentor and accept so many people into her life. She contributed much of her time to the community by giving back in many ways such as Foster Grand Parenting. She will be remembered mostly for her love of family gatherings and blues music.
