So many memories of our youth when we knew each other, went to the same church, hung out together in the youth group. So many memories of your parents and you in Chicago, in the Baptist church where my dad was the pastor, then in Miami, even memories of going to Disney World with you and your nephew.  Memories of visiting each other's homes, memories of raising small children who then grew up to be amazing adults.  You were an inspiration to me, with your unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, even in the midst of your fight.    Enjoy your reward in heaven, Maria Elena.  You fought the good fight, you remained faithful, and now you rest in the presence of your Savior and Lord.  I will always remember you and love you, until we see each other again.
