Maria Nicole's obituary

Maria Nicole "Nikki" Ward-Saldarini, 52, passed away on Saturday, October 10th, 2020 at Community Medical Center in Toms River NJ. Born in Red Bank NJ, Nikki spent her childhood years in Middletown NJ, before moving to Monmouth Beach NJ. Nikki attended the Ranney School, Tinton Falls, and graduated in 1986 from Central Jersey Christian School in Asbury Park, NJ. She was an EMT for many years before dedicating her time to raising her 2 children. Nikki loved the outdoors, and spending time in Maine, Colorado and Texas. She was an avid animal lover, adopting dogs and cats, to include them in her loving home. She was loving and selfless. Free spirited and sweet natured, Nikki was willing to help anyone and everyone with a kind word or warm smile. As her final act of selflessness, Nikki donated her organs to help others in need.


Nikki is predeceased by her parents; Patsy and Bernard Czachowski, 2 brothers; Steven and Joseph Czachowski, and sister; Ronnie Sue Czachowski. She is survived by her 2 children; Sean Ward and Emily Saldarini, her significant other; Robert Kruez, 2 nieces; Susanna Balsys (Andrew), and Karyn Marone, nephew; Christopher Czachowski (Sherry), 2 great nieces; Cailin Balsys and Alice Marzulli, and great nephew; Joshua Balsys. 


Services will be held on Friday, October 16th from 4pm to 7pm at O'brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road in Brick, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to the MS foundation.
