Mary's obituary

Maria Modesta Reyes Neville, 68, of Los Angeles, California, passed away at her home

surrounded by family, on March 24, 2024 from a two and a half year battle with Vascular

Dementia.

A visitation for Maria will be held Friday, May 10, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Eternal

Valley Memorial Park Mortuary, 23287 N Sierra Hwy, Newhall, CA 91321. A funeral service will

occur Friday, May 10, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 23287 N. Sierra Hwy, Newhall, CA

91321. A graveside service will occur Friday, May 10, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Eternal

Valley Memorial Park, 23287 N Sierra Hwy, Newhall, CA 91321. A reception will follow starting

at 4:00 PM at American Legion Post 176 602 Pico St #176 San Fernando, CA 91340.

Maria was born in Lancaster, California to Agustin Chiquete Reyes and DorothyMojica Reyes on

June 15, 1955. She married Kenneth James Neville on April 12, 1992 in San Fernando,

California. She was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness. She was baptized in July of 1970.

As a teenager, she worked in a packaging warehouse for Bunny Love. She worked as a Coil-

winder for Hydro-Air for several years. She used to love to sew. She was very good and would

sew her own outfits. One of favorite hobbies was antiquing with Ken. They would go for long

drives and shop at different antique stores. She also enjoyed hanging out with her kids and

grandkids.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Agustin Chiquete Reyes and Dorothy Mojica Reyes,

and her brother Arturo Lee Reyes.

Maria is survived by Husband Kenneth Neville, Children Cristina Diane Morales, Maria Rosa

Morales, Henry Morales Jr and wife Diane Morales, brothers Miguel Angel Mojica Reyes,

Agustin Reyes Jr and Jose Luis Reyes, sisters Dora Reyes Pereyda and Rosie Andrea Morales,

Grandchildren Robert Joseph Retana, Arianna Monique Retana, Jazmin Renee Morales, Henry

Morales III, Matthew Augustine Monson, Kenneth Michael Morales, Liam Michael Gould and

many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be son Henry Morales Jr, grandchildren Robert Joseph Retana, Henry Morales

III, Matthew Augustine Monson, Liam Michael Gould and nephews Arthur Reyes Jr, Carlos

Reyes, Shawn Reed McAdory, Jose Luis Reyes Jr, Christopher Michael Sanchez, Reymond

Michael Maldonado, Ryan Christopher Reyes and Agustin Reyes IV.

Honorary pallbearers will be her brothers Miguel Angel Mojica Reyes, Agustin Reyes Jr, Jose

Luis Reyes and the late Arturo Lee Reyes.

The family wishes to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and gestures of kindness

shown to us following our sad loss. We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many family, friends,

neighbors and well-wishers who visited our home, attended the wake, service and burial and who

provided emotional and practical support for us at this difficult time. For those who called,

travelled long distances, sent floral tributes, cards and messages of condolences as well as those

who made charitable donations, we are truly grateful. The Neville and Morales Family
