Maria was a charming, funny, and warm hearted woman. I remember the year I lost my mother, she was so kind to me. It was Ricky's first year at FSU and my second year. She made sure to check in on me and ask if there was anything I needed. She knew I missed my mom dearly. That fall, ponchos were all the rage and she searched high and low to find me one. I'll always remember her with great fondness.
