Maria Helena's obituary
Helena was born in Bogotá, Colombia, and moved to her "dear" United States in 1964, along with her daughter, Maria Piedad. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Maria and Michael Cunningham, and her three grandchildren, Kelly, Jaclyn, and Christopher.
Helena worked at Texaco in Harrison, New York, for 22 years, ending her career there as an area supervisor. During her career, she traveled the world extensively.
Upon her daughter's marriage, Helena not only gained a son in law, but also a caring and loving extended family. Helena continued her travels with her newfound family, enjoying countless moments of laughter and fun.
Helena was deeply religious, and her empathy was bountiful. She thoroughly enjoyed living with her grandchildren, and being a significant part of their lives.
Helena was always the life of the party, and could put a smile on anyone's face. She brought love and joy to the lives of everyone she knew, and she will be remembered by all.
