Maria A. Gikas, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2023, at the age of 99.

She is reunited in eternal peace with her late husband, Apostolos.

Maria was a pillar of strength and love for her family. She is survived by her children, Eleni Psilidis and George Gikas. Maria's legacy extends through the generations as she was a loving grandmother to Maria, Sotirios, and Nikki, and a proud great-grandmother to Eliana, Alexandros, Stella, Zofia, Athan, & Johnny.

Affectionately known as Yiayia to everyone, Maria's warm and nurturing spirit touched the hearts of those around her.

A private funeral will be held for immediate family. Details to follow for a memorial service at a later date to celebrate Maria's life and the cherished memories she leaves behind. During this time of grief, may the family find solace in the love and support of friends and loved ones.

Maria  Gikas will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love her. May she rest in eternal peace.
