Carmen's obituary

Maria del Carmen Dominguez, better known as Carmen, was born on March 10, 1959 and walked into eternity on March 7, 2014. A beloved wife, mother, and a cherished member of her church community, her loss is deeply felt by all who knew her.

Carmen is survived by her loving husband, Victor Campos, whom she married in 2000, their daughter Daisy Campos, and her son Aldo Dominguez. She is preceded in death by her mother, Maria Orozco, and her father, Ramon Mendoza.

She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. Carmen savored her medium hot coffee from Dunkin’, with its precise blend of two creams and two sugars.

Always feeling close to God and Jesus Christ, the Bible she carried around for decades held a special place in her heart, providing comfort and guidance throughout her life.

After a long a day, you could find her glued to her novelas or rewatching her favorite, the iconic and hilarious, "La India Maria" films. Carmen’s laugh can be heard a mile away.

Carmen found true peace in relaxing at home and taking leisurely walks around the neighborhood. Her ideal getaway was the scenic Wisconsin Dells, a place she loved for its tranquility, but also fun for the whole family. The “Lazy River” was her favorite, but she would occasionally hop into the water slide!

Carmen's personality was truly one of a kind, filled with silliness and creativity, balanced with honesty, kindness, and responsibility.

The wisdom she imparted to those near her was simple yet profound: "Live honestly. Help those in need because God is always watching". Carmen's proudest accomplishment was obtaining her American citizenship and creating a home for her family, a testament to her determination and perseverance. Her legacy of honesty and kindness endures and continues to inspire.

The loss of Carmen is immeasurable, but so too, is the love and joy that she brought into our lives. Her memory shall live on, forever cherished, in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
