Mari's obituary

Mari Jill Jenson (Addison) passed away from Cancer at 64 years old in Little Canada, MN on Thursday, May 18, 2023. Mari was born June 8, 1958 to Dick Rostamo and Faye Watson. She grew up in Saint Anthony Park with adoptive parents Bill and Mary Jane Addison, and brother John. She attended Saint Anthony Park Elementary School, and graduated from Murray Senior High School in 1976. She was valedictorian of her nursing program, but spent the majority of her career in education working for Saint Paul Public Schools. She had two children, Joe and Lindsay, whom she supported through all of their activities growing up. She met her partner, Tommy, in the late 90’s, and they were together for over 26 years until his recent untimely death . Together they loved their grandchildren, bowling, racing, and above all camping. They would jump in their camper at any chance they could get. 

She is survived by her children Joe Kessler (Lisa Myhre) and Lindsay Jenson (Nathalie Picard), grandchildren Addison, Henry and Lena Kessler, mother Faye Watson (Gregg Malik), father Dick Rostamo (Brenda Rostamo), sisters Kelly Thomas (Mitch Thomas) and Tracy Rostamo, brothers Kurt Rostamo, Tom Rostamo(Sandy), and John Addison.  Predeceased by father Bill Addison, mother Mary Jane Addison, and partner Tommy Thompson. 

Funeral will be held at 11am at Saint Anthony Park United Church of Christ. 2129 Commonwealth Ave, St. Paul, MN 55108.  Celebration of Life get together following at Station 280 2554 Como Ave, Saint Paul, MN 55108. There will be some food and lots of memories to share. 

Thank you to all of the people that helped make her hospice experience meaningful. Keep spreading the love.
