Margaret's obituary

Margaret Irene Nixon, born on October 11, 1935, entered eternal rest surrounded by her loving family. She lived a long, purposeful life defined by compassion, faith, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

Margaret married the love of her life, Richard Nixon Sr., and together they built a strong, faith‑centered home. They raised three children — Richard Nixon Jr., MaryAnn Blunt, and Kevin Nixon — who remained the joy and pride of her heart.

For more than 40 years, Margaret served her community as a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) at Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana. Her gentle hands and steady spirit comforted countless patients and families. Nursing was not just her profession; it was her calling.

Margaret was a faithful member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Texarkana, where she worshiped, served, and built lifelong relationships. Her faith guided her steps and shaped the way she cared for others.

She was blessed with a large and loving family, including 12 grandchildren and 15 great‑grandchildren, each of whom she cherished deeply. Her home was a place of warmth, wisdom, and unconditional love, a gathering place where generations came together.

Margaret leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and service. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

In keeping with her wishes, Margaret will be cremated, and the family will honor her life privately.
