Margot and I met at work in Montréal in our early 20’s. What a great time in our lives that was…lots of fun and many adventures! During our travels together in the early 70’s we made some wonderful memories as we spent some amazing time working in South Africa and in England. Upon our return, our lives took us in different directions, me to New Brunswick and Margot to Toronto. Despite the distance we remained the best of friends for our life times…always there for each other through thick and thin. Be it in person, email, or by phone, we enjoyed so many long catch-up conversations.

Margot was always very dedicated to her career and family…such a fun and caring and loving person, I miss her terribly.

Hello Ryan .. I stumbled upon this when I was searching for Margo to invite her to the 60th CBH reunion this coming fall … I am so very sorry for your loss … I have never forgotten her beautiful smile and infectious laugh .. she was a force to be reckoned with and always put her patients first … I have so many great memories of the days we spent together at the Booth in the 60’s … she will definitely be missed but never forgotten .

Dear Ryan,

Your mother had a great sense of humour and lit up the room with her laughter and huge smile. 

After moving to Toronto, your mom came for dinner on a regular basis. One evening after a long day at work she was dismayed over an incident but couldn’t stop laughing so felt guilty. She explained that a senior patient had just returned to her room post-operatively. Sadly she had both legs amputated. 

The woman asked Margot for a glass of water then accidentally dropped her glass on the floor. The woman was so apologetic and without thinking, Margot turned to the woman and said,” Don’t worry about it. Just make sure you don’t get out of bed in bare feet in case there’s still glass on the floor!” Typical Margot‼️♥️♥️♥️

Ryan....I'm so sorry for your loss. I worked with Margot at Comcare. She was my preceptor when I first started. She was dedicated to her profession as a nurse and loved by patients, families and doctors. She was always a source of support and friendship during my time in community nursing. I will miss her laugh, her smile, and her great sense of humour.

Margot was my sister in law for many years,as a fellow nurse I know how dedicated she  was to the profession.

She loved her family.

She was someone you could go to,and know you had been heard.

I am grateful to have known her, and lucky to have had her in my life.
