It is with great sadness that the family of Margarete Rebecca Johnson, fondly known as, "Becky" announces her passing after a tough fight with cancer, and on Saturday, November 6, 2018, at the age of 73 years will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years, James E. "Jimmy" Johnson and his children, James E. Johnson Jr., Ronnie D. Johnson, and Lyn & Paul Andrews. Becky will also be fondly remembered by her 6 grandchildren, JJ, Carrie, Emily, Ryan, Jeffrey & Kaitlyn; and her wonderful group of 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her Father, Hubert Lee Bowen & her Mother, Carrie Laverne O'Briant. She also has many cousins, nieces & nephews that will cherish the loving memory of her life.
She cherished her Family, and everything that it represented to her and it showed through all of her "digging up bones" in her genealogy searches. She loved, and was so intrigued in her "Roots", it meant so much to her about finding out about and knowing were she came from!
She was a devote in-home Health Care provider for 20+ years were she captured the hearts of everyone that she came in contact with, from all of the individuals that she personally took care of, to the staff of Abilene Hospice, and at Silver Springs Nursing home that were involved in taking care of her in her last days.

*There will be a viewing at the Girdner Funeral Home at 141 Elm in Abilene Texas between the hours of 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, the 9th of October.
