Margaret “Peggy” Ann Wieber, 75, died Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at her home in Richmond, Virginia leaving the life she lived here on earth for her place in heaven where she now resides pain free.

Peggy was born in Baltimore, MD on September 10, 1947 but grew up in Richmond, VA graduating from Cathedral Central High School in 1965. After raising a family and establishing a career, she went back to school, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business from Virginia Commonwealth University. She spent the majority of her adult life in Illinois, lived several years in North Carolina, and returned to Richmond in 2016. But everyone knew, and she’d always tell you, that her heart remained in Chicago.

Peggy is survived by her two children, Laurie Riggs (Roy) and Michael Doherty (Lynn), her four adult grandchildren Brandon Doherty (24), twins Kayleigh and Riley Riggs (20) and Jordan Harper (24), her three siblings Tom Wieber (Lyle), Cathy Daly (Dan) and Michael Wieber and other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her brother Gerard (Stick) Wieber and parents Lawrence and Mary Agnes Wieber, who she now joins in heaven.

Peggy was passionate about current events and loved to read. She leaves behind a magnificent collection of books that will be donated for other reading lovers to enjoy.

Peggy’s remains will be spread over Lake Michigan in Chicago, IL.
