Margaret's obituary
Margaret "Maggie" Weaver, affectionately known as "Margaret" by those who knew her best, peacefully passed away on January 16, 2024. She was born on May 5, 1938, and in her eighty-six years, she impacted many lives with her warmth and bubbly personality.
Margaret is survived by her devoted son, Robert Ridgeway. She was predeceased by her loving spouse, Ronald Weaver, whose artistic talent brought her great joy through his collection of oil paintings. Her favorite foods included lamb with mint sauce, and she was known to enjoy a cold sparkling flavored wine.
Margaret was an avid reader, spending most of her time engrossed in the pages of the Bible. She had a love for country and western music, inspired by her late husband Ronald's aptitude for music. She was a fan of western movies, particularly those starring John Wayne, and enjoyed watching cowboy TV shows.
She had a soft spot for sports, supporting local area teams and showing a personal preference for tennis. Margaret was not keen on Broadway, but she loved the simple outdoor pleasures, notably walking along the seashore with her friend Lorn, or hiking the local parks and waterways.
Margaret loved to travel the country in her RV and felt happiest near the water. She was committed to several humanitarian charities and always stressed the importance of kindness, as articulated in her lifelong lesson: "Be kind to one another, you only get one chance."
Having successfully raised four children, Margaret considered her family to be her greatest accomplishment. She will be fondly remembered for her love of the color lavender, and her love of life. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
