Missing your smile and your laugh Auntie Marg. I think of you often and especially on your birthday.

Dear Julie,
From meeting in eighth grade thru moving together to California with two other Oregon gal friends, your mom and I were friends.
I miss her giggles, cherish her generosity, creativity (Oregon Territory😊), Christmas letters and cards.
With love and blessings,
Sharon (RIP Margi and Go Niners!)

Dear Julie,
I'm so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She was such a remarkable, warm, and genuine person. I will see you at the memorial this Sunday. Jen and I made a donation to Girls on the Run in your Mom's name. What a great and meaningful cause to choose to honor her.
Love,
Mark and Jen

Margaret was a wonderful colleague at Graham Middle School. We had great conversations sharing humorous stories of our students. I miss her.

Julie, you have been such an amazing daughter to your mom these past few years, I’m sure always. You were there to take care of her and all of her needs. You showed up when there was a problem but also when there wasn’t. The way you spoke about your mom was always kind and gentle and full of love and respect, your mom could not have asked for anything more than that. She was very fortunate that you are the person you are and I’m guessing, she had a lot to do with that. Seems your mom, also, was an amazing being, I wish I had known her. I love you so very much, Julie.

Auntie Marg may not physically be with us anymore, but she will forever live on in our hearts and memories 💗

Julie you are in our thoughts during this time. Margaret had such an impact as a teacher, neighbor, and friend to so many. I think of her often and will always remember Mrs. A with fondness.

Oh Margaret I have thought about you often. Just today I was talking with our friend Merlene and asked about you. She told me of your passing.
Your daughter did a beautiful job writing your obituary. I was smiling reading about some of your adventures.
I remember that when you would come see me, you always had a smile. We would look at your car and we would talk about your golfing along with things about your paycheck and or benefits.
Even now, I'm smiling and saying in my head that you were a wonderful person.
Rest in Peace my Dear Friend.
Julie may all the wonderful memories of your beautiful mom comfort you as you walk through this new part of your life's journey.

Where to begin writing about a friendship that lasted almost 63 years. Marg and I met when I started teaching at Castro School in Mountain View. In Sept. of 1963 she “officially “ became Auntie Marg to my son Kevin. Along came Julie and I became Auntie Barb. Then came my daughter Karen. Julie and Karen were/are like sisters. There is not enough room to write about all the fun times, holidays, trips, the Nutcracker ballet in San Francisco for several years. I will never be able to watch a Forty Niner game without thinking of all the Sundays we shared the love of the team with friends Sophie and Greg. We were “the Hans Avenue Forty Niner Faithfuls”. You’ll be missed more than I can say!!

I had the pleasure of knowing Margaret while she lived out her last years at Villa Siena. Always witty and most open to attending activities, she kept herself fairly busy. When opting to attend some programs needed a boost, we would sing the song to help put her shoes on..."Put your shoes on Lucy. Don't you know you're in the city? You'll get by alright, but it really is a pity that Lucy can't go barefoot wherever she goes, 'cause she likes to feel the wiggle of her toes." This song helped her attend programs 9 times out of 10. She will surely be missed! Condolences to you Julie and to all who have had the pleasure of knowing her!

Margaret was the most caring and genius lady, our golf buddy at Sunken Garden Golf course. Will miss her .

Jules, I’m so sorry for your loss. Your mom was one of the kindest, most generous loving people I’ve ever met. She passed those trait on to you in spades. I remember she always made everyone feel seen, heard and special. She could be devilishly funny and was always a huge support to you and your teams- I was lucky enough to feel that love from Mrs A from the sidelines and at the occasional post game party. Sending you lots of love and hoping that you feel comfort in knowing you were the very best daughter and how extraordinary your relationship was/is with her. Rest in peace Mrs A ❤️

Aunt Margie had the best laugh! I always loved going to your house as a kid especially during Christmas time because even the bathroom was decorated! I was always fascinated that her hair was in a perfect bun everytime I saw her and had beautiful nails. I thought to myself that when I grow up I wanted to be just like my beautiful Aunt Margie. She was the cool Aunt (cousin)! As an adult, she would call me when I became a single mom and send baseball jerseys for Avery. She had great words of advice and funny stories. I will always cherish those memories with my Aunt Margie and cousin Julie!

I honestly don't even know where to start, except that Margaret was so wonderful. I'll never forget all of our phone calls where she would ask us about how the weather was in Nashville and then she'd recount all the ways SF was different at that time of year. I remember she would send presents with an ornament that had our name written on it. I also will never forget visiting her house across from the school and seeing "the wall of Julie". She loved you so big and I'm so glad that I was able to know her and be loved by her.

Im sorry for your loss Julie. My heart is with you. There are a lot of memories with you and your mom. The biggest one is when you guys let me live you (temporary until I found a place to live) when I moved to The Bay Area after I graduated from college. Keep in touch. Love your cousin Tammi.
