Today, I received an email from Ever Loved, with a prompt. The email message conveyed that periodically, I would receive a message, sort of as a check-in, I suppose. I wasn't sure where to add my reflection on the site after clicking the link, but the prompt was this: what did I learn from Margie, and how does it have a lasting impact on my life? The first thing that comes to mind is that Margie showed me what a deep faith in God looks like. She lived her faith, amid her family, her friends, her co-workers, or a stranger she might meet while out and about. Her strong faith and trust in God carried her through till she left this world. I will forever be impacted by her example of faith. Even in the most challenging of times, she never stopped loving and caring for others, she placed her trust in God and His plan, whether she understood the plan or not. She allowed herself to want the miracle of healing, to remain here with her family and friends, but she also placed full trust in God's plan and purpose, which is often beyond our understanding. I know that I have struggled in this last month since we lost Margie, wondering why....when our world needs more people like Margie. But my hope is that myself, along with all those she knew and loved, can remember her faith, her gratitude, her joy, her smile and the warm way that she regarded those around her. That is her gift to us, and that is what impacted me in my friendship with Margie. She valued me as her friend and sister in Christ, and I will be forever grateful.  Love you always, Margie!
