Margaret's obituary
It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Lind, a beloved mother, wife, nana, teacher, and friend. She was born on June 2, 1945, and sadly departed from this world on October 1, 2024. Margaret was a vibrant force, illuminating the lives of those she touched with her positivity, creativity, and boundless love.
Margaret is survived by her loving husband Jon; her cherished daughter Megan Lind; son-in-law Brian Leben; two beloved grandchildren Olivia and Zoe Leben. She is also warmly remembered and remarkably missed by a host of relatives, friends, and former students. She is preceded in death by her father George Trachte, her mother Dorothy Trachte, and her sister Jane Zima.
Known for her love of traveling and weaving, Margaret was a woman of diverse interests and endless curiosity. Not one to remain idle, she loved to explore new cultures, with Mexico holding a special place in her heart. She was also a talented weaver, creating many pieces with hard work, sweat and love. Most importantly, she cherished her grandchildren, creating many memories that they will hold dear forever.
Margaret's positive, fun, and invigorating spirit was an inspiration to all. Best described as full of life, her giving nature and loving spirit touched many lives. She was an inspirational Spanish teacher for 35 years at Sheboygan North High School, the anchor of the foreign language department. She left her mark on countless students and teachers who will carry her legacy forward.
