In the fall of 1970 Mrs. Lind gave several of us a chance to have a third year Spanish class which we always cherished. She was not only fluent in English and Spanish, but she was also fluent in Compassion, Empathy and Enthusiasm. I will miss her.

I have fond memories of Mrs. Lind. She was a stellar Spanish teacher at North and I was lucky to have her for 2 years. Piñatas the students made hanging from the ceiling, performing Spanish play scenes in front of class, and subjunctive  verb lessons all immediately on to mind. She brought out the best in us students and challenged us.Â
I feel lucky that years and years later my in-laws from CA randomly struck up a conservation with a nice retired woman from Sheboygan in a hotel hot tub in AZ. It turned out they were talking with Mrs. Lind and she even remembered me after so many years and thousands of students. Â
Thank you for enriching our lives and may your family find peace and comfort.

Margaret was my Spanish teacher at North High, back in the early 70’s.  At the time, I was probably her 2nd to last worst student in class.  I simply did not apply myself.  Yet there was something about her that through the years inspired me to take Spanish classes at Lakeland College after graduation.  I’ve spent time yearly in Mexico now for the past forty years.  Although not fluent in Spanish, I’m thankful our paths crossed, all those years ago.  Were it not for her, I never would have applied myself to taking additional Spanish classes later in life.  Many teachers we forget over time, and there are those we’ll always remember.  She will be remembered.
