She made sure she took good care of her kids and family. And she found joy in everything she was apart of.

Margaret welcomed me into her family in 1998 and loved me as her own daughter. Her kindness, guidance, and love shaped me at a pivotal time in my life, and I will forever be grateful. I am deeply saddened by her passing and extend my heartfelt condolences to her family. Margaret’s love will live on through all the lives she touched. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Miss Margaret made room in her heart for me and my daughter and became known as “the candy cane lady” to my young daughter. She was best friends with my mom from 2006 til her passing in 2011. Miss Margaret never forgot about us. We had the best conversations ranging from fashion to career advice to recipes and there was always lots of giggles and laughs. I could come to her with the hard topics as well and lean into her wisdom and knowledge. Thank you Miss Margaret for your friendship and loving embrace during the good times and the bad. 

It was always wonderful being in the company of Margaret and her family! I will always cherish those memories. With much sympathy and much love to all, Aunt Anne Warrior

It’s very hard to find words to express my sorrow to hear this!  Although I only met Margaret a few years  ago, I developed a deep appreciation and love for her and the Austin daughters!   I always felt like we were family; and the marriage to my cousin Larry’s son Chris completed the family circle!!  My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very sad time!   I am available for any thing that you need me to do for you to assist you!
