Margaret's obituary

In Loving Memory of Margaret "Maggie" Diller (December 13, 1959 - July 28, 2023)

We are saddened to announce the passing of Margaret Diller on July 28, 2023. Maggie was born on December 13, 1959, a woman known for her selfless and caring nature.

Maggie was a devoted wife to Dennis Diller, a loving mother to Christopher, Brian, and Nicholas Diller, and a proud grandmother to Austin and Roman Diller. She will fondly be remembered not only as a beacon of strength and love in her family but also as a cherished sister to Claudia, Mary, Frances, and Catherine.

Maggie's commitment to her profession as a nurse exemplified her compassionate spirit, bringing comfort to countless patients throughout her long career. Margaret made many impacts during her nursing career and her excellence in the field was ceremoniously recognized when she was honored with the "Nurse of the Year" award at Maryland General Hospital in 1990. After working at Maryland General Hospital for over 25 years, she spent the remainder of her career at GBMC, making many friends who she cared for deeply while giving the best care to her patients.

Her passion for caring extended beyond her work, as she was a wonderful mother and Nana. Maggie truly embraced the joys of being a Nana with unparalleled love and tenderness. Her grandsons were the apples of her eye, and she reveled in every moment spent with them.

With a radiant smile and a heart of gold, Maggie was the epitome of selflessness. She was always there to offer a helping hand, a listening ear, and words of encouragement. Her greatest joy came from cherishing her family, which was evident in her tireless devotion to them. Maggie's warm heart and giving nature earned her the admiration of all who knew her. She was not only a beacon of support for her family but also a loyal and joyous friend to many. Her presence will be sorely missed and memories of her will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

As we mourn Maggie's passing, we also celebrate her life—a life full of love, care, and an everlasting commitment to her family. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends, and her memory will forever be cherished. She will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.

As per Maggie's wishes, there will not be a formal service or funeral. A gathering to celebrate her life will be announced at a later date.

May she rest in peace.
