Aunt Marge was such a special person and absolute blessing to this world. As her nephew, I always looked forward to hearing her sweet voice and what she had to say. And the way in which she spoke was like no other person I have ever met. She spoke with her eyes and in a cadence that forced you to slow down in a world that often moves too fast. When talking with her, she had the ability to help slow my life down and take the time to really appreciate the kind words she always spoke. I loved this about her.
She was such a fighter. Battling cancer for as long as she did required such perseverance and will to live. She loved life and the people she called friends and family. Never complaining about her pain or suffering, she always seemed to turn the conversation about her battles around to selflessly ask questions of my own family.
She made a beautiful piece of pottery for my wife and I when we got married. It radiates a captivating light from within and makes an beautiful projection on the outside. Beyond something we enjoy seeing everyday in our home, the light it casts serves as a perfect metaphor of who my aunt was as person. I will always treasure her example of how to live life and treat others.
Miss and love you Aunt Marge.
