Margaret's obituary

Margaret Arrington Osborne

Margaret Arrington Osborne, age 87, of Oxford, Georgia, gained her angel wings and went home to be with the Lord on December 29, 2024, at her residence in Oxford.

Born to the late Guy and Beatrice Osborne, Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who lived her life with faith, love, and a joyful spirit. She was married for 66 beautiful years to her husband, W.D. Arrington. Together they raised two children: Melinda Arrington and Christopher Arrington.

Margaret had a deep love for God and cherished attending church. She found great joy in raising her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, pouring her heart into family life. She was preceded in death by one grandchild, Trey Wilson.

She is survived by her husband, W.D. Arrington; her children, Melinda Arrington and Christopher Arrington; her grandchildren, Krystal, Steven, Kasey, Justin, Michael, and Jason And Christy; several great-grandchildren; and her sister, Betty Ann Osborne (one of her six siblings, with Betty Ann being the last surviving).

Margaret had a zest for life and many simple pleasures. She enjoyed real estate and had a habit of moving every seven years. She disliked cold weather and loved the warmth of Florida and its beaches. She was an active walker, found peace in the mountains, and took great delight in tending her garden beds. In her later years, she faced the challenges of Alzheimer’s with the same grace and faith that defined her life.

“We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.” — 2 Corinthians 5:8
