Update from Sept. 17, 2024

Hey everyone. We are a week and a half away from the celebration of life so Madisen and I wanted to reach out and let everyone know we do plan on having a dedicated time during the ceremony for people to come up and share any memories, stories, or words about Margaret. If you think of anything while reading this, please write it down and bring it along as we would love to hear everything we can about her. Same goes for photos you may find of her.

Additionally, we are still asking anyone interested to bring a food dish Margaret was famous for!

Margaret Ann Cope nèe Portwine passed away on August 4, 2024 in Ocala, FL.

Margaret passed away peacefully surrounded by friends and family in hospice care after she lost her battle to an extremely rare and aggressive form of dementia.

Born in Romeo, MI, Margaret attended and graduated Romeo High School in 1981. Following high school she spent 4 years at Michigan State University and graduated with a Bachelors Degree.
