Margaret's obituary
Margaret Loraine Abrams passed away peacefully on July 16, 2024, at the age of 89. She was born on May 4, 1935. As a child she lived in West Virginia with her mother, Lena Bailes.
When she was 16 years old, she married Robert Abrams, and they started a family. With Robert she lived life as a military wife moving to a new place often. Their family grew to three boys and three girls. They were married for 34 years. In time she settled in Cedar Falls, Iowa. She worked at Waterloo Industries for many years until it was time for retirement. Margaret spent 52 years living in Cedar Falls and later in life moved to Ozark, Missouri to spend her last three and a half years with family.
Margaret is proceeded in death by her mother, Lena Bailes; her daughter, Patricia Siskow; her brother Bobby Bailes; and her 2 sisters, Jenny Mounds and Edith Simpson. May their souls reunite for eternity.
Margaret was a loving and spunky woman even into her later years. She was always ready to visit new places or go spend time with the family. There was never a child or partner she could not find love in her heart for. She was the definition of unconditional love. Thanks to this, she is remembered through all the silly and wonderful stories of a big and diverse family.
Margaret is survived through her children: Bobby Abrams, Mike Abrams, Gary Abrams, Donna Wyatt, and Pam Davidshofer. She is survived through her grandchildren: Eric Siskow, Clint Siskow, Maggie Abrams, Robert Abrams, Tanya Hankins, Shane Hankins, Amanda Wyatt, Melissa Janovsky, Mike Abrams, Jenny Smith, Chris Modlin, and Jeremy Anderson. She was also grandmother to 30 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great- grandchildren.
She is also survived by countless others who may not have been family by blood, but were considered family through love.
