Mareva's obituary

Mareva Dawn Hauenstein Karas was born on September 21, 1969 in Canton Ohio. After strongly fighting a battle with cancer she passed away January 15, 2020 at Carolina Caring (Hospice House) in Sherrills Ford, NC at the age of 50. She was raised in Carrollton, Ohio. She resided in Maiden, NC. Her career was in the medical field. Mareva was very crafty and artistic. She enjoyed decorating cakes and designing tumblers. Her fiance, kids, and grandkids were her life. She raised 3 children who loved her fully and learned from her actions, strength, resiliency, humility, personality, and morality. Her grandchildren brought her the most magical times as an Oma could imagine. She leaves behind a legacy that will last for ages. Preceded in death by Grandparents Martha Brooks, Ernest McArthur, Richard and Eva Hauenstein; Father Donald Hauenstein; Sister Teresea Hauenstein Ritchie; Brother Allen Roudebush; Uncle Bob Hiner; and Nephew Andrew Miller. Survived by Fiance Douglas Ott; Mother Patricia McArthur; Sisters Donelle (Dwayne) Kiser and Angela Hauenstein; Daughters Angel (Patrick) McKinney and Terra Cale; Son James (Amber) Himes; Grandchildren Jacob, Jameson, Wesley, Serenity, Mattis, Wyatt George, and Morgan Averam; also survived by Aunts, Uncles, other family and friends. On January 19th, 2020 we will be Receiving Friends and Family at 12pm and a Memorial Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Denver United Methodist (building on the right) 3910 North NC-16 Denver, NC 28037. Services will also be held in Carrollton, Ohio on Wednesday, January 22, 2020. Further information to be announced. Donation proceedings can go to Carolina Caring Hospice House and Denver United Methodist Church.
