Dear Friends,
It is with broken hearts that we share the news of Marcy's passing on November 1, 2025 following a recurring battle with cancer. Those who knew Marcy know that she possessed a warrior spirit and fought to the very end to enjoy her life and live purposefully every day. From her playful and joy-filled youth among neighborhood friends and classmates in Dinuba, to her years of adventure in Bishop, Marcy's love of life and connection to others saturates our memories. From her college ventures at University of Puget Sound she carried a playfulness and desire to serve into everything she did as a newlywed, a young mother, a volunteer, and eventually a lifelong special education teacher.
She was always concerned with the needs of others, from the underserved to the joys of her children and family, to the church and school communities within which she found her footing. She loved God deeply and authentically and shared her faith uniquely through deep relationships and palpable loyalty to those she loved near and far.
Family was always at the center of Marcy's life - whether her parents and siblings and their families or her own children and grandchildren. From the wings of the ballet stage to the sidelines of the riding arena, from the high school pool deck to the football field band stands, she championed Katy and I, and now our children, as we explored all the beauty and wonder the world has to offer.
She sacrificed often to ensure our needs were met; she celebrated big, all the milestones and holidays; she held close, our family history and served as the glue to keep us all together. She was a force, an advocate, a friend, and a wife and mother whose love will never be lost. Our lives today, and hundreds of others have been changed by her presence, by her quiet confidence and commitment to grace and love above all. We know these words barley scrape the surface of the incredible life that Marcy lived. She will be missed beyond measure in more ways than she could imagine.
We are confident that her body is now restored, and that she finds herself among friends and family with a renewed sense of joy and unending purpose in the presence of God. We celebrate her incredible life and encourage you to share the ways in which your life was impacted by her. Thank you for your love and support and thank you for being part of Marcy's beautiful life.
Please help us celebrate her life and document your love and memories on this page. When you toggle to Memories, you can share favorite stories or memories, photos, and videos. Please know that remembering all the beautiful parts of our mother is the greatest gift that you can give during this time. We welcome your contributions and ask that you hold Marcy and our family close in your hearts as we navigate the road ahead.
With Love,
Amy, Katy and Families
